At a conference a few weeks ago at Elmira College in NY, I snapped lots of photographs. One afternoon, I was walking from the parking lot, along a walkway beside the college library, when I saw these great shadows. The Elmira campus is lovely and the weather was beautiful, so I saw lots of shadows and will be posting more shadow shots from Elmira in the future.

What a lovely collegiate pathway to walk to class...I wouldn't want to go inside...may I study under the shade of the trees..?

i agree with sweet repose - the soft green grass looks a lot more inviting than the building. great shadows.

I can almost see the leaf shadows lightly ever so slightly. Nice day to have your camera handy!

I love the way the lines converge in this one, and the dappled shadows are so inviting. I can almost hear the wind the trees that cast them.
